24 7 Solitaire Is This The Best Place To Play Solitaire Online

Solitaire is a classic for a reason. It’s relaxing, it’s fun, and there’s even evidence that it can help support cognitive function and boost memory. Plus, because it’s a single-player card game, you don’t even need to find other people to play with!

And in fact, in this day and age, you don’t even need a deck of cards to play a game of solitaire. There are plenty of online solitaire websites that allow you to play directly from a mobile, desktop, or tablet browser, completely free of charge.

That’s exactly what 24/7 Solitaire offers. This site kept popping up on our radar, so we thought it’d be a good idea to take a deep dive into all that it offers to see what all the fuss is about. In this post, we’ll outline everything you need to know about 24/7 Solitaire, including what it is, how it works, and its pros and cons.

    About 24/7 Solitaire

With 24/7 Solitaire, the clue is in the name. This is a website that makes games of solitaire possible around the clock, completely free of charge.

Simply point your browser to the 24/7 Solitaire homepage, and you can be up, running, and playing a game of solitaire within seconds.

What’s handy about this site is that it works flawlessly across mobile, desktop, and tablet, allowing you to easily play a game of solitaire from your preferred device. There’s also no registration or login required, either, which streamlines the process even further.

24/7 Solitaire also offers a range of different solitaire variants, too, including the following:

    • 1 Card Solitaire
    • 3 Card Solitaire
    • Freecell
    • Spider Solitaire
    • Spider – 2 Suit
    • Spider – 4 Suit
    • Scorpion Solitaire
    • Wasp Solitaire
    • Yukon Solitaire

There are only subtle differences between the different types, so don’t worry if you’re unfamiliar with the names. 1 card, 3 card, or freecell solitaire will be just what you’re looking for if you’re after a classic game.

As well as the type of solitaire, you can also choose between three difficulty levels: easy, medium, or difficult, which helps to make 24/7 Solitaire suitable for all player levels.

    The Solitaire Experience

OK, so that’s how 24/7 Solitaire works, now the question is: is the solitaire experience any good?

We’re pleased to say that yes, it absolutely is. While a website can have plenty of solitaire variants and other features, what actually matters is how the site performs when you’re actually playing the game.

In some cases, there can be lag between clicking the button and the move, or sometimes the site’s design just leaves a lot to be desired.

24/7 Solitaire is different. It was the fastest solitaire website we tested, and we found the general design of the playing platform to be significantly better than those of other solitaire websites we’ve tried. The green felt background, plus the well-designed cards, allowed us to truly engage with the game.

We also liked that we could adjust a few game settings mid-gameplay, such as whether autoplay was enabled. The inclusion of an undo button proved to be handy when we made a couple of accidental errors, too.

All in all, this felt how it should feel to play solitaire online. It was absorbing, fun, and offered the right amount of challenge.

What Else Does 24/7 Solitaire Offer?

You might visit 24/7 Solitaire primarily to play a few games of solitaire, but you might find that you end up playing different games once you’ve finished.

One of the nice bonuses of playing at 24/7 Solitaire was that the site also hosts many other games, which are also available for free of charge across all devices. Some of our favorites available as part of the 24/7 game network included:

    • Sudoku
    • Backgammon
    • Hearts
    • Poker
    • Checkers
    • Chess
    • Bridge
    • Roulette
    • And many more

24/7 Solitaire: The Pros and Cons

    The Pros

    It’s Free

There aren’t too many games you can play completely free of charge in today’s world, but that’s just what you’ll find at 24/7 Solitaire.

The website won’t charge you a penny to play, no matter how many games you enjoy. You don’t even need to register to start. Simply go to the homepage, and you can be playing within seconds.

    It Works On All Browsers

Whether you visit on desktop, mobile, or tablet, you’ll get the same great playing experience.

You Can Play Multiple Solitaire Variants

Have a particular type of solitaire you like to play, be it 1-card, 3-card, freecell, spider solitaire, or one of the other popular variants? You’ll find it at 24/7 Solitaire, which also allows you to choose from three difficulty levels.

    There Are Different Themes

Want to liven up the design? At 24/7 Solitaire, you can choose from a variety of different theme styles for the game.

    It Offers Fast, Smooth Gameplay

When you click a card, it moves. No matter how fast or slow you like to play, you’ll find that the website is more than capable of keeping up.

    It Provides Detailed Instructions

If you need a refresh on how to play, then 24/7 Solitaire is the right site. It has detailed instructions on how to play the game.

    The Cons

    No Social Features

This isn’t a major downside, but some people will be disappointed that there’s no way to go head-to-head with friends and family from within the platform itself. 24/7 Solitaire has stayed true to the idea of solitaire being a one-person game!

    Final Thoughts on 24/7 Solitaire

So, what did we ultimately think about 24/7 Solitaire? We have to say, this felt like a website that had been clearly designed and built by people who knew what they were doing.

Beyond the lack of social features, which many will find unimportant for a single-player game anyway, we couldn’t find a single fault with the website or the solitaire playing experience.

The website was fast and well-designed, there were plenty of different solitaire variants available to play, and the gameplay was as smooth as can be.

Play once, and you’ll find that it quickly becomes your go-to website for solitaire (and other games available on the site).
