Netflix renewed Love Alarm for a second season on 29th October 2019. But as of date, no date has been specified by Netflix for season 2 of the popular Korean show. According to trusted sources, the second season might get released sometimes around the end of 2020 or mid-2021. The release date depends on how long it takes for the showrunners to shoot the second season.
The announcement for season 1 was made at the start of 2017, but the show didn’t begin until August of 2019. Netflix generally follows the pattern of releasing subsequent seasons after approximately one year, so Love Alarm Season 2 could very well be released earlier than expected.

This new upgraded version of the app can influence Jojo’s decision regarding who to choose between Hye-yeong and Sun-oh. Moreover, it wasn’t revealed in Season 1 who developed Love Alarm 2.0. The original developer of the first app did not develop the upgraded version and nobody knows why. The identity of the developer could be an interesting revelation in Season 2.
Season 2 of Love Alarm is certainly going to bring more twists and turns in the lives of the three protagonists. It will be interesting to see how the love triangle pans out.
