The first look of WhatsApp ads in its status feature revealed which will be out in 2020

Facebook, the parent organization of WhatsApp, has authoritatively expressed that WhatsApp Status updates will start uncovering advertisements in 2020.

At a yearly Facebook Marketing Summit in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Facebook offered a first take a gander at how its advertisements would look once actualized.

This disclosure was affirmed on Twitter by Olivier Ponteville, the media head at an advanced promoting organization based out of Brussels.

As per Ponteville, the promotions will have appeared between WhatsApp stories, much the same as Instagram stories. In the image, Olivier clarified that accounts would be shown totally on the screen and a connection will divert clients to the site.

The updates on Facebook needing to present advertisements in WhatsApp’s status include first touched base in October 2018. For those who’re mindful, WhatsApp’s “Status” enables clients to share content, photographs, recordings, and  GIFs that vanish following 24 hours — indistinguishable from how Instagram stories work.

From what we know up until this point, the promotions will be controlled by Facebook’s local publicizing framework and would be gone for helping users grasp and partake in organizations utilizing the communication application.

Facebook’s expectations were to legalize WhatsApp in a proper way. This issue worked like a driven force for the co-founder to leave the communication company.

Brian Acton(the co-founder of WhatsApp) once said an interview that Mark Zuckerberg(CEO of Facebook ) was in a hurry to make big profits out of these communication applications which is known as Whatsapp, weakening the main elements of communication service which is built on the base of encryption technology. Action said:

“Targeted advertising is what makes me unhappy.”

Lyrics On Google’s Results Page Will Appear With It Source Page

Google was recently accused by Genius for copying their lyrics. Since this is a serious accusation, Google is definitely not sitting idle. In response to this, Google has decided to soon attribute the third-parties providing lyrics. This will let you know where the lyrics have come from. Not just that, but it will also direct any complaints directly to the third-party providers instead of Google.

In their defense, Google has also stated that they do not crawl or scrape sites to find lyrics. Instead, they license the lyrics from outsiders. The lyrics are also automatically updated as soon as any corrections or changes are made to it.

One of the main suppliers of lyrics to Google, LyricFind has claimed that they have not copied any lyrics from Genius. The company even argued that the exact lyrics are available in other sites as well. They claimed that they have taken the lyrics from another company that was using Genius lyrics without the company’s permission.

However, this hasn’t solved or calmed the issue at Genius’ office. But this definitely shows the messiness involved in lyrics search. There are several companies that provide lyrics and it is actually not possible to find out who’s’ honest and who’s not.

Picture-In-Picture Mode Tested By Apple TV Beta

The upcoming beta version of Apple tvOS 13 is expected to come with a surprise. The company is planning to introduce its newest feature picture-in-picture mode. This will allow users to browse while watching a video at the same time. The release of the feature was not announced by the company at the time of WWDC keynote that took place earlier this month.

The PnP feature is not going to allow you to stream or watch video on top of another video. Instead, it will shrink a screen to a small box while you watch the main screen in the background. You can thus, navigate the whole operating system without pausing or stopping your show. With the help of on-screen controls, you will be able to easily switch from the video thumbnail to the rest of the screen. You can even move the thumbnail to different corners or even close it entirely. The release of the PnP feature on Apple TV is a mark of expansion. It was first introduced in ios 9 which was then launched as a multi-tasking feature for iPad.

Other than the PnP mode, tvOA 13 will also be made compatible with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One controllers. Along with that, you will also be able to read lyrics on the screen while you listen to your favorite track. In addition, it will also provide multi-user support for each person’s profile.

Google accused by Genius for copying its lyrics data

Google accused by Genius for copying its lyrics data

Most often we rely on Google lyric’s results instead of using individual lyrics sites. If you think you are the only one doing that you are wrong. Genius has recently accused Google of copying its lyrics data. Not just that, but the company has also claimed that Google has hurt its website traffic. As stated by Genius, the evidence can be found in the apostrophes. The apostrophes are deliberately alternated between curved and straight lines to form a watermark. The watermark represents ‘red-handed’ in Morse code. Genius has found over 100s of Google’s lyrics that include the exact apostrophes.

Google, however, has clearly denied any such activity as stated to the Wall Street Journal. Google is one of those companies that takes copyright issues very seriously. As stated by LyricFind to the Wall Street Journal that their staff does not source lyrics from Genius. Both the companies Google and LyricFind have clearly denied any matches with the lyrics of Genius.

No formal actions are taken yet but Genius has still claimed that Google is violating both its terms or service and antitrust law. The company claims that they have alerted Google in 2007. If Genius tries to file a case, it may not get much success in it as they don’t own the lyrics. They are only allowed to display them on their platform.

Google in its statement to Engadget:

“The lyrics displayed in the information boxes and in knowledge panels on Google search are licensed from a variety of sources and are not scraped from sites of the web. We take data quality and creator rights very seriously and hold our licensing partners accountable to the terms of our agreement. We’re investigating this issue with our data partners and if we find that partners are not upholding good practices we will end our agreements.”
