Jeff Bezos dumps of dirt on the future of FedEx’s future

Amazon is trying to become a lot of things, but the only thing that they are serious about is becoming the backbone of America’s shipping. The main focus of Amazon is to deliver goods to people 24 hours through air, land, and sea.

Amazon finally broke their ground on expanding its business by announcing their 3 million square foot airport ground outside Cincinnati which is in Kentucky. The area also comes with a 100 cargo jet parking area which makes the airport much more amazing. This airport will become the hub for all the grand logistics ambition of Amazon.

In a tweet from Per Bezos, it was made evident that Amazon will be investing about $1.5 billion. This hub will end up creating more than 2,000 jobs. This event ended up becoming a big one with all the ceremonial affairs and photo-ops. The chief executing officer Jeff Bezos ended up making a surprise visit at the event by jumping in the driver’s seat of a front end loader and ended up dropping some dirt in a hefty pile of dirt.

It is expected that FedEx and UPC which are the countries biggest logistics company will end up losing a lot of business because of this. This will also help Amazon add other locations to their Prime service and deliver their good faster. It is understood that it will still take a lot of time for everything to be implemented.

Till now Amazon just had a few dozen flights of their own, flying a few hundred flights per week while FedEx and UPS have hundreds of planes flying thousands of flights. Things will be changing real soon. One thing is sure that Amazon will be affecting the main business of FedEx and UPS very soon.
