Govardhan Puja is also presumed to be a very special festival in India. It is usually celebrated in the northern part of India. Right from that day, people started to worship Govardhan Parvat along with Lord Krishna who saved their lives in such a critical period.

People during this festival provide various types of food items before Lord Krishna. All the items that are served as made of purely Veg products. It is said that the favorite products of Lord Krishna are served during this period. Apart from all this, some pujas and yagnas are also conducted by the priests. It is a one-day festival, but the preparations start a few days earlier. Almost all the temples of Northern India, including Vrindaban and Mathura are decorated beautifully with lights and flowers.
