Google finally renames its Home Hub to Nest Hub and also releases a 10-inch Nest Hub Max
Google has seen a lot of success after releasing the Home Hub in the smart home hardware section. Google has succeeded with these products because of the size and price of the devices. This device from Google is a perfect alternative to the Echo series from Amazon. Google has finally decided that it will be calling its device Nest from now on instead of the Home Hub.
The announcement was made by Google today at I/O where they talked about their shift in smart home device branding. All the smart home devices from Google will now be under the banner Nest. Google has also decided to focus on people who are looking for a bigger device for their home and released the Nest Hub Max.
The Nest display now comes with a 10-inch display which is fascinating for a lot of new people. A camera has also been added to with the device to make sure that everything is available to the users. When the first generation of the Home Hub was released, people were not very happy because of the absence of a camera, but over time people have got over the fact.
The name of the device implies that the device will help control all your smart home devices. Google has coupled up with Nest so that they can make the device much more functional and secure. This has justified the naming of the device from Home Hub to Nest Hub. The Nest Hub Max also comes with improved speakers which will increase the quality of speakers.
The Hub Max will be a perfect device which can be used by everyone at home. The nest is known to recognize user face as well as voice which helps people to control the device much more conveniently.
Last year, Google backed out from letting Nest work independently. This year things have changed a lot. The product has been re-branded and now the prices have been lowered to $129. The Nest Hub Max is priced a bit higher at $299.
