Google announced that its application store will continue to work for all the existing Huawei smartphone owners
Google has come out and announced that all the existing users of Huawei Android can use the benefits of the Google Play application. This news has ended up reliving a lot of Huawei customers. It was still not clear if Huawei will be using all the functions of Android from now on.
All the phones which are already sold in the market can enjoy security protection which is delivered through Google Play Protection. The Google Play Protect is basically a build in malware detector. Google has yet not specified whether Huawei devices will run on Android from now on or not.
The statement comes after Reuters ended up reporting that Google will be suspending some kinds of business with Huawei. Huawei is now the worlds second largest smartphone maker who ship around 200 million handsets last year.
According to the claim, the point was not addressed by the Google whether all the future smartphones from Huawei will be run by Android or not. Huawei has not shared any kind of details about their situation yet and is simply waiting for Google to give out their verdict.
This is one of the biggest setbacks from the company Huawei and if this problem is not solved by the company in the next two weeks, then the company will end up in a huge loss this year. The company will have to rethink their whole security and software strategy because of the controversy they are going through.
A company spokesperson said:
“We are complying with the order and reviewing the implications.”
Both the companies find them in a very awkward situation as a result of which the latest development of the United States and China trade war. Huawei along with 70 other affiliates have been blacklisted by the United States for trading in their country. The only reason the company is facing such problems is because of the trade war between the United States and China.
Huawei has already foreseen all this situation. The company is now working hard so that they can build their own Android-based operating system. Once the whole software is built, then Huawei can compete with the other devices which will be running on the Android operating system. The only problem they will face is that they will have to convince other applications to make their apps available in their application store.
