Date of release
Previously, DC failed to achieve much success in a movie packed with a full team of superheroes. As of now, DC is looking forward to investing in movies of solo superheroes as an alternative way to achieve much appreciation. Earlier in February 2019, a sequel was already expected to be out in the movie theatres, but later the release date of the sequel was further delayed to December 16, 2022.
Jason Mamoa will be presented as the lead role in the second part of Aquaman. This time he will be given company by the famous Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe. Most of the original actors from Aquaman’s first part will be seen to make their way back in the second part as well. Patrick Wilson is expected to be seen assisting Yahya Abdul Mateen- the Black Manta.
In the first part of the sequel, Aquaman is seen denying his superpowers to hide his identity from the world. Later he had to unveil his powers in order to safeguard his loved ones. Arthur was seen taking over his wicked step-brother to seize control of the Kingdom and establish himself as the ruler.
In this part of the sequel, Arthur’s biggest challenge would be the return of Orm along with the other difficulties faced by him in his early days of rule. As the comics reveal that Aquaman’s biggest enemy stands to be the Black Manta, it is expected that Arthur might have to fight Black Manta on-screen as well.
